Class Presentation Instructions:


Scenario


Your employer, Advanced CyberSecurity Accounting has just found out that your Advanced AIS course introduced you to IT security. They are thrilled because they view this as an opportunity to create new business and have asked you to head up a new security consulting division. But, ... there is always a but isn't there? Your boss is concerned because it seems a new hack is described in the media each day, well frankly more than one. While on the one hand this is a reason to be excited about new and growing market opportunities for this new security consulting division, it can also be scary and she is left struggling with the question "What hope is there for the rest of us"? She doesn't want to start a new business venture if its destined for failure.

For your presentation respond to her fears, by providing your perspective on IT security, provide an example of what you might propose to a new potential client that wishes to retain the services of this new business venture. Include as part of your presentation why this is an area for accountants to pursue.

Format and Time Limit:


This will be a group presentation, with 15 minutes allotted to the presentation (strictly enforced). The group will consist of 5 students. The presentation will take place in class and can be made using PowerPoint, KeyNote, Prezi, or another presentation format after receiving permission.

Grading:


The presentation is worth 50 points towards your final grade and will be based on content/delivery of presentation (%), classmate evaluations (%), instructor evaluation (%).
